Finally, there was the Castle. The Great Castle of Liminalia. The Graces’s lair and the heart of the world.
Great artisans designed the interiors with the genius guide of the Graces, and the foundations were laid with science and magic combined. It was said that a powerful magic ran inside the walls of the Palace, and an enormous energy emanated from the interiors to the entire extension of the reign.
Many mysteries surrounded the palace, as only the Graces’s most selected guests were invited to enter. It was said that the basements were full of gold and precious jewels, and giant rooms full of the most fantastical mechanical inventions. Rumor has it that the libraries of the Castle were full of the most unimaginable knowledge, about unknown worlds and alien magic. One could lost themselves in the caves of enlightment and could spend their entire life there, learning.
The Castle workers didn’t talk that much about it, but they always made a point to highlight how good it was to live there. For the Graces treated them with care and love. They weren’t mere employees, they were family.
At the nights, looking at the warm lights that came from the windows, the people could only imagine how it was to live there. They could hear laughs, they could listen to music, so they imagined it was really good.
Sometimes, late a night, if you were lucky enough to be wake up at the right time, you could prick up your ears to listen… a faint, delicate singing.
