THE CURSE

To talk that much was tiring him more and more. Between a final cough spell, he spoke to Max lastly:

“Max, my boy… I suppose this is time to say goodbye.”

Max hugged him, sobbing. He couldn’t put words out of his mouth.

“Do not cry, son. Goodbyes… ho, are supposed to be happy, aren’t they?

*You have grown so, so much. *

*I am proud of you, Max. *

I am proud of what you have become.

And I hope you are proud of yourself too.

At the end of the day… you weren’t as scared as you though, were you?”

Max finally shouted, tears rolling down his face.

“I love you, Mr. Rabbit!”
