LIMINALIA

“But I don’t think she misses me.”

And Mr. Rabbit and Meryl the Mole quickly hugged him.

“Oh, but what on Earth makes you think that, my boy?”

“how could she NOT miss you, dear? you’re such a lovely, polite little boy!”

But Max was already sobbing. The tears wouldn’t stop coming.

“I-I let her down!”

“How so?”

“I- I made a mistake. A terrible one, Mr. Rabbit!”

And Mr. Rabbit gently caressed his back.

“Everyone makes mistakes, Max. Even oldies like me and Meryl!

Meryl the Mole wasn’t the best with feelings, but they did their best to warm up the mood.

“yeah! mr. rabbit, for example, is an error himself!”

It helped a little.

“Nothing is too broken that it can’t be fixed, Max. Remember that.”

And he continued.

“I do not know what you did, and you don’t need to tell me, or talk about it at all. Some things are better we keep them for ourselves, and there is no problem in that. But I want you to know that: it does not matter what you did. How big it is the error you have commited, how hurtful, whatev’r.”
