Nothing happened.
"A-are we s-still alive? T-there's bread in Heaven?"
And then, a tiny voice coming from inside.
"did someone saw my keys?"
Who opened that door was NOTHING like what Max had imagined, and probably you, too.
"oh! what a surprise! if isn't my OLD friend, Mr. Rabbit, and a beautiful human kid. i apologise for my fancy house, dears, i really need to fix it. if at least i had a friend that could help a poor, old mole like me. don't you think, Mr. Rabbit?"
"Yeah, yeah, Maryl, you are absolutely right. Now, can we focus on the boy you probably traumatized for the rest of his life?
"oh, my dear! look at you, you look famished! bet this OLD rabbit didn't serve you nothing but his nasty tea, am i right? poor boy, come in, come in! "I shall prepare repast."
Rolling his eyes, Mr. Rabbit followed Maryl inside.
Despite almost dying out of dread, Max was finding the whole situation REALLY funny. He immediately liked Maryl the Mole and promptly followed them into the
house. After all, he was, indeed, really hungry.
