LIMINALIA

Mr. Rabbit walked right ahead of them, not really paying attention no nothing in particular. His mind was dispersed from the outside world, as his anxiety grew continuously. He would constantly check his SURE-o-METER, only to put it back and mumble nervously, too low to anyone but him to listen.

Despite preocupating, it was a silly vision, considering the terrific dress he was wearing right now.

Max observed, slightly preocupated with his friend. He didn’t want to boost up his anxieties even more, so he and Meryl made sure to fasten up their step, even if just a little.

After some minutes of a tranquile silence, Max decided to pick up a conversation again:

“Meryl, can I ask you something?”

“hoho, of course, ma boy! whadaya want to ask?”

Max was still looking at Mr. Rabbit, walking hurriedly ahead of them.

“How long do you and Mr. Rabbit know each other?”

“hoho, what a lovely question! but do we have time to cover such LONG story? i mean, we’re OLD, hoho! but i guess i could try, if you really want to know.”

“Oh, I do!”

With a tender look, Meryl’s eyes turned to their friend of old times, Mr. Rabbit. Despite all the jokes and ocasional strifes, Meryl truly loved that little, old, grumpy bunny. At the end of the day, he was their best friend. And the only that could support their wacky shennanigans and annoying quirks Meryl was plainly aware of.

“well, max, where do i begin? you must know that, despite my constantly yet trueful assertments regarding Mr. Rabbit’s age, he is, in fact, way younger than me. of course, this fact doesn’t make him any more younger, hoho!”

“but it is true that i am definetely an OLD little mole, and have seen many things, many times before.”
