
Meryl adjusted their glasses, examining the ground surroundings.
“hmmmmm, it seems the path was teared apart somehow. i can’t say uf it was by time or… something else, though.”
That was terrible. A feeling of dread came over them them, and a cold silence filled the air. Their eyes gazed from one alley to another, trying to catch any clue, any possible direction to take next. But it was useless.
They were lost.
A gelid breeze announced the fast approach of a somber night. Once the dark fell, would they ever be able to find their path through the shadows? A shiver run down Max’s spine, as he remembers the bizarre, paranormal phenomena of the past day. Ghosts, whispers and hallucinations, and they weren’t even as close of Thelesis magic field as they were now. He looks at the distance, to the intimidating shadow of the colossal Castle.
So close, yet so distant.
Time was running out. They could almost hear the implacable sound of the clock, ticking, tacking. The sands of the hourglass slowly yet constantly falling down to the inevitable end.
