At first glance, it appeared to be just a regular yarn ball. It didn’t shine or made any angelical choir (signs commonly associated to items owner of magical proprierties). Actually, it was kind of boring.

“Is it really magic? Seems like just a regular yarn ball to me.”

“Actually no, it is not magic.”

Max couldn’t hide a little bit of disapointment in his tone.

“Oh.”

“I just said that to make a phrase of impact, and also because an actual magic thread would’ve been way more cool, and also helpful.”

“booooooooooring!”

“Anyway, despite not possessing any magic power, this little artifact shall help us greatly.”

And he walked next to the stairs by which they descended.
