LIMINALIA

Meryl the Mole led the way, their eyes shining brigthly, scaring away the dark ahead and providing them (at least a LITTLE BIT) of an actual field of vision. They looked like one of those deep sea fishes Max saw once in a school book. Not as scary, though, just as lightly. Every now and then Meryl would make little sounds of barely audible nature, and then say very confidently:

“hmmm, hunrum, now this way!”

Needless to say Mr. Rabbit WASN’T FEELING KIND OF CONFORTABLE with the situation like, AT ALL. He was already used to be the one guiding them through all sort of pathways, and to resign to simply FOLLOW someone was driving him crazy. He really wanted to trust Meryl’s skills to get them outta there, but part of him (the one who acts all cool wise and leadery) would constantly ring its horribly annoying tune in the back of his mind. Sometimes he wished he could be more chill.

“Meryl, are you sure we’re on the right direction?”

Meryl the Mole was barely paying attention at anything besides the path ahead of them, and absently nodded their head.

“huh? of course, of course, mr. rabbit. im in total control of the situation right now. so let’s keep going, because the next turn is right here.”
