LIMINALIA

“huhhhhh.”

Mr. Rabbit was giving his best try at not-totally-flipping-the-flip-out. But it was such a difficult task, considering the current series of events.

“Meryl, why are we running across an already crossed path?”

“i don’t know! i’m pretty sure we are following the right path!”

“I don’t remember crossing this tunnel, either…”

They’ve reached an intersection on the path. The only problem is that it was their OWN intersection. The red string indicated that they had already been there, but how was this possible? For the past 20 turns or so, they were pretty sure everything was new to them.

Mr. Rabbit gives the thread a firm tug. The string barely moves.

“We’ve already walked far into the catacombs. Considering we didn’t turn back at any moment, nor have we walked upon an already crossed path, we shouldn’t be stumbling across a piece of the thread. This is odd.”

“really odd. c’mon, let’s turn back.”

“No, Meryl, we cannot backtrack our path or we’re gonna get lost. We must keep going foward, always foward.”

“okay. huhhh, i believe there’s a way… c’mon, follow me.”
