LIMINALIA

Unlike anything they had seen up until that moment, a frightening bifurcation invoked itself in their path.

It wasn’t the bifurcation per se the reason for dreadness. They had already passed through many bifurcations for the past hour or so. But some things on THAT specific one were getting to their nerves, and I’m pretty sure it would get into YOURS, had you been in their shoes at that exact moment.

First of all, unlike the previous divarications in the path, which clearly didn’t appear to follow any specific, inteligible pattern, but were rather product of piecemeal, organic design (like any construction of such magnitude), that one appeared to have been projected. There wasn’t flaws, no crooked floors, no weird intersections. In fact, from all the tunnels they’ve been into, that was the CLEANER one, this fact alone a good reason to get weirded out.

The second reason, however, was probably the most ALARMING one.

They were absolutely certain (and so was Mr. Rabbit SURE-o-METER, which by this point was enduring techincal issues due to incongruences regarding the SURE FACTOR against the REALITY FACTOR) that they have NOT, in unquestionably ANY MEANS AT ALL, crossed that tunnel ONCE in their entire course.

Yet, the thread was going right into one of the tunnels.
