It felt like eternity, but in reality it all went in a matter of minutes.

The world felt calmer. Suddenly, in the spur of a moment, the shattered pieces of reality reconnected themselves again.

Mr. Rato was still there, patiently waiting. Weirdly, it felt like he had waited far more than just minutes. His eyes shone with a spark of curiosity, as if awaiting Meryl’s next course of action, even if he already knew what it was going to be.

And Meryl the Mole already knew what to do.

Finally getting up, they courageously responded:

“i understand. and i will do it.”
