LIMINALIA

Despite, as previously stated, already knowing the answer, Mr. Rato seemed to be a little incredulous.

“And yet, you still want to do it…”

He went silent for a minute, thinking, Graces know what. Was he considering the multiple possibilities of Time? Was it all yet another test? Meryl couldn’t say, nor do nothing but to wait.

And out of nowhere, he made a question that weirded the hell out of them, such a bizarre question it was.

“You really don’t remember, do you?”

Meryl didn’t know how to respond that.

“huh? remember what??”

But he said no more.

”… nothing. It is nothing.”

His eyes, once cold, seemed to soften a little, almost sorrowingly. But Meryl didn’t notice that.

He sighed, the kind of sigh only really old, really wise sages do, and murmured so no one could listen but himself:

“God, I’m old…”

As sudden as it appeared, the Time spell was gone.
