The fire… fire is a very relaxing thing to look at. To watch the flames crackle, to gaze at the wooden burns.
When you know everything, when you are aware of everything, when everything that has, is and will happen has already crossed your mind millions of times, and when every single turn of events is already of your knowledge… to find randomness becomes a treasure.
And what is more volatile than the movement of the flames?
It is almost therapeutic, to not be able to predict the direction the fire will go.
And so, he - the figure - likes to spend his time watching the fire. In fact, it is the activity he does the most of his time. Mostly to NOT think about the Time.
But, in some rare and special ocasions (that recently have gotten quite considerably less rare), to provide some sort of dramatic entrance.
After all, the figure was fond of the theatrics.
