LIMINALIA

They took the GREAT STAIRS and set their path up to ascension. A long red carpet stretched the entire staircase, guiding their path.

The staircase was broad in space, and also in length, as they soon came to notice. It seemed like it never had an ending… not that they could see it, anyway, given the darkness surrouding them.

Ocasionally, though, large beams of partial moonlight and/or lightnings would break through the walls of dark, bringing a cold yet refreshing breath of the world outside into the stuffy walls.

“Do these stairs EVER end at all?”

Max was tired, and so was Meryl the Mole.

“time up, bunny! can we stop just for a sec? i can’t feel my legs!”

“You’re an automata, Meryl.”

“my legs are hurt out of BOREDOM from walking these crappy stairs.”

“Oh, well… I guess a pause won’t hurt anyone… a brief pause, I mean.”
