“Hey, guys, come see this!”
Max shut the book and they proceeded to the next bookshelf corridor.
“This seems to be the History section… can you feel it?”
A small note was left on the study table.
“our beautiful kingdom… tragedy… the witch… beyond repair…” It was unreadable. “damn, these guys could’ve left at least ONE complete note. hell of a study session.”
“Are they talking abouut Magissa?”
“Perhaps… let’s see.”
Standing out, there was a series of books, intitulated THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF THE HOLY KINGDOM. Mr. Rabbit left out a gasp.
“Oh, Meryl has some volumes of this series back at their house. It has been a wish of mine to read the rest of it.”
“Who wrote it?”
“There is no particular author. The books were compiled out of pratically every single historically relevant register of the time - letters, notes, other books - by a handful group of avid historians. I think the Graces also helped giving out their own words on certain subjects, but overall it was pretty much a volunteer work.”
“this is actually impressive, not gonna lie.”
“I know, right?”
Max decided to pick the last book of the shelf, THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF THE HOLY KINGDOM - VOLUME C. He opened near the last page.
